PRISM is the only open-source project I've been able to find that will do everything I want to do. All the others are either commercial or "free to academics only." I find it very interesting that they've recently been granted funding for a position to do something very much like what I want to build. Maybe all I really need to do is build a Ruby interface to PRISM and gradually "import" functionality into the Ruby language.
